Theme: The future of water, sanitation and hygiene in low-income countries: Innovation, adaptation and engagement in a changing world.

In 2011 WEDC celebrates its fortieth anniversary by hosting its annual conference at Loughborough University, a break in its 34 year long tradition of holding the event in either Africa or Asia. The annual WEDC conference is a practitioner and research focused event, exchanging knowledge and experiences in the water and sanitation sector.
